Terry blows one, won’t own up
Mystery injury to bumbling closer

I have to admit to feeling a bit dejected about Saturday’s game. While it is was far from a blow out, it was still dishonorable to lose tbe game. Should we Mets fans start lining up to jump off the Shea bridge? After hearing Tim McCarver malign we die-hard fans on national TV, perhaps we should at least start taking numbers. Sure, we are all anticipating the match up between R.A. vs. C.C. ....but in the public eye, we lost already and are destined for last place. Hey, anybody or anything can call themselves a loyal member of the Evil Empire…that even includes a Pet Rock..plus the rocks in Tim McCarver’s head.

McCarver, when catching for St.Louis, went to the mound to give Bob Gibson advice on the next hitter. Gibson said to him: “Go back behind the plate and don’t come out here anymore. The only thing you know about good pitching is that you can’t hit it.”
