Come October, I think it is safe to say that we won’t be watching the Mets in the 2011 playoffs. But if you like to live in the past, as I do, there’s no reason why you can’t watch the Mets in the playoffs next month- as long as those playoffs are from 1986.

Nick Evans is a tremendous hitter who had been buried by Omar Minaya. The player I first saw on the back fields at Port St. Lucie is finally getting a chance to contribute. My wife has an Evans shirt; it makes me like both Evans and my wife more.
