As one who has lived and died with the Mets year after year, and who has done my best to block out from my memory their horrendous late-season losses in the few years when they were truly in contention, my first thought when they score in the double-digits is “save some of those runs for the next games!” Having three double-digit wins in a row helped to mentally prepare me for the subsequent low-scoring losses to the @!*!! Yankees.
I guess that one has to have a certain mentality to be both a Mets and a Jets fan. ;-)
