Beginning this evening, the Mets have a get well card for Gary Carter, who is battling multiple brain tumors, available for you to sign in the Citi Field rotunda. Take this opportunity to let The Kid know you are rooting for him.
Then on Saturday, come see me at the Barnes and Noble in Nanuet at 2 PM for a signing of my new book, Taking The Field. I’ll have you out in time to get to the evening Mets game!
Finally, on Monday, head over to to MCU Park to see the Brooklyn Cyclones, eat a Nathan’s Hot Dog, observe some of the recently-drafted Mets, and get this ridiculously awesome Angel Pagan bobblehead. Pagan, remember, had his number retired in Brooklyn last year. What was wonderful about it was how emotionally affected by it he clearly was. Pagan’s one of the good guys.
