In an effort to have a viable non-Bay on hand, the Mets recalled Lucas Duda from Triple-A, and designated Nick Evans for assignment.
Evans will probably head back to Buffalo, though he could opt out. Duda, who has been crushing Triple-A, could quickly suppland Jason Bay in left field. No lineups yet, but I’d be shocked if he wasn’t in left field tonight.
