Duda Up; Bay To Experience Miracle Of Life

That’s right, with an addition to the Jason Bay clan imminent, the Mets have placed Bay on paternity leave and summoned Lucas Duda from Triple-A. Duda has been hitting well of late in Buffalo, incidentally. Also, there’s apparently some anti-Bay sentiment over on Twitter about missing baseball game for the birth of his third child, which is, frankly, insane.
Here’s wishing Jason and his wife well. I do wonder if he’ll be asked to put on scrubs. I expected to when my wife gave birth last year, but they didn’t bring it up. Is this typical? I’m not Antonio Cromartie [1], so I don’t have a means for comparison. And yes, I like to think Cromartie attends every birth. I’m a romantic.
