NEW YORK (AP) – The Mets have suspended longtime clubhouse manager Charlie Samuels.
The team did not explain the move.
Samuels was hired by the Mets in 1976 and last month completed his 27th season as clubhouse manager.
In a statement, the team said Samuels was suspended indefinitely last Wednesday without pay.
