ST. PETERSBURG, Fla. (AP) – The Texas Rangers have agreed to terms on a minor league contract with infielder Alex Cora.
The team made the announcement before tonight’s game at Tampa Bay.
Cora, 34, is expected to join Triple-A Oklahoma City tomorrow. He appeared in 62 games for the New York Mets this season, hitting .207 with 20 RBIs.
The Mets released Cora on Aug. 7.
