The Mets promoted Jenrry Mejia from Port St. Lucie to Binghamton today. He has been pitching very well so far as he’s being stretched out to become a starter. Mejia could see the Major League roster again this season if he continues to pitch well and the Mets fall out of contention for the playoffs, which seems likely.
If not, he would probably be ready for the beginning of the 2011 season, depending on how he does in Spring Training.
Outfielder Kirk Nieuwenhuis also was promoted from Binghamton to Buffalo.

Really exciting. A fgut sent down from the majors went to A ball and dominated. Insanity in the organization and total lunacy and minor league reproting by this rag. If this is the best you can do follow the B Mets. This is a trash column. no wonder nobody posts here.
Good info on Mejia; with the obvious need at starting pitcher long term, glad they didn’t dump him for short term fix at deadline.
