Carlos Beltran had two hits and an RBI in today’s game as he and Oliver Perez had rehab starts with Port St. Lucie. Beltran played a full nine innings.
Perez made his first rehab start and pitched six innings. He allowed five hits, four runs, including a couple of home runs, and struck out seven. The good news is he only allowed one walk. The long balls are a concern, but the strikeouts are a positive sign.
