The Buffalo News wrote there is strong indication the Mets will call up Jesus Feliciano and Ruben Tejada this weekend. Tejada could replace the ailing Luis Castillo, though Alex Cora would likely be the starting second baseman. Feliciano, who has a .386 batting average in Triple-A, could replace the struggling Gary Matthews Jr., if the Mets release him.
In other Bisons news, it looks like Daniel Murphy might have had a setback as he hurt his knee in a double-play in yesterday’s game vs. the Syracuse minor league team, the same one that Washington Nationals No. 1 draft pick Stephen Strasburg is pitching for. The Buffalo News Mets blog is reporting Murphy is on crutches and could be headed to New York City for an MRI.
Follow the action as WGRZ-TV’s Ben Hayes is live blogging today’s game in which Strasburg is pitching.

If they bring up Tejada and have him rot for a few weeks on the bench it will just be another indication of how poor a manager Manuel is. Tejada is faster, and fields much better than Cora and even if he struggles with big league pitchers he can’t be much worse than Cora is with the bat.
Feliciano is a different story… A classic AAAA player, it would be nice for him to get some big league ABs but the difference between him and Jr filling the last spot won’t make any difference. Neither can pitch and this team has a bullpen with absolutely no relible arm and a rotation where prayer is the main strategy in at least half the games.
Just curious, what wordpress theme are you using as it looks cool?
