NEW YORK (AP) – New York Mets pitcher John Maine has tendinitis in his right rotator cuff and there’s no timetable for his return.
The Mets made the announcement Monday after the righty had an MRI exam.
Maine left his previous start Thursday against Washington after throwing only five pitches. He was placed on the 15-day disabled list Friday.
Maine will begin a rehabilitation program and start throwing when his shoulder feels OK.
The Mets also say they have reinstated first baseman Daniel Murphy from the 15-day DL and optioned him to Triple-A Buffalo. Murphy had been on the disabled list since April 5 because of a sprained right knee.

Whata dumb move. Murphy is far superior to the losers on the bench like Carter and Mathews, but who cares, he’s not the manager’s pet so get him out of here.
Since nobody else comes here, I’ve changed my name to be more accurate.
That’s pretty funny, TheOnlyMetFan.
