A downpour this morning has led the Mets to decide to scratch their regulars from today’s game against the Braves.
Nelson Figueroa was slated to start. The Major Leaguers who are in the lineup are Gary Matthews Jr., Chris Coste and Mike Jacobs.
Even if it weren’t raining, Francisco Rodriguez wouldn’t have played anyway as he’s still trying to recover from pink eye.
You can catch the game on the Major League Baseball channel, MLB.tv or SNY.

Mets ticket sales must be atrocious so far this year. I checked out the “pre-sale” that they’re having for StubHub users today and there were tons of tickets of all varieties available for Opening Day. I don’t remember this being the case in many, many years. There should be plenty of Opening Day tickets available when they start general sales later this week, although there aren’t too many people who somehow can’t participate in one of the many pre-sales they are having. Have the Mets commented at all on the status of ticket sales thus far?
No, and they are unlikely to do so as I don’t see them trumpeting the lack of sales. They’ll probably just try to lower the prices or come up with more packages.
