Berroa designated for assignment
To make room on the 25-man roster, the Mets designated Angel Berroa for assignment shortly after last night’s 8-3 loss to the Padres. Berroa, who had played in last night’s game, went 0-for-4 with two strikeouts. He’s batting .148 with four runs and two RBI in 27 at-bats. He won’t be missed.
