David Wright led all National League third baseman in All-Star voting, so he will represent the Mets in the All-Star game to be played July 14 in St. Louis.
Carlos Beltran held off Rafael Soriano and Shane Victorino for the last spot on the National League roster for outfielders, but he likely will not play as he is still recovering from his bruised right knee. He might attend the festivities, however.
Johan Santana and Francisco Rodriguez also were voted in to the pitching staff.
Among the four of them, they boast quite an All-Star pedigree:
Wright: 3 selections
Beltran: 5
Santana: 4
Rodriguez: 4
Congratulations to all of these players.

The Mets Contest returns for a couple more weeks, so don’t forget to play before time runs out.
Last week’s question was: How many luxury suites does Citi Field have?
Congratulations to Nancy Fitzsimmons, who correctly answered the question. Citi Field has 54 luxury suites: 10 Sterling, 39 Empire and five Empire Party. Fitzsimmons will be receiving a copy of “The NY Mets 1986 World Series Collector’s Edition DVD Set.”
This week’s question is: How many Minor League affiliate teams do the Mets have?
Each week, we’ll ask a question related to Citi Field. We’ll then take all the names of people who got the question correct and put them in a random drawing. Each winner will receive either the “The New York Mets: Essential Games of Shea Stadium DVD Set” or “The NY Mets 1986 World Series Collector’s Edition DVD Set.” Only one prize per winner will be given out.

Check back every Monday at http://mets.lohudblogs.com to see that week’s question.
Click here to register and answer the question.
