Top 9: Church grounds out. Evans grounds out. Murphy flies out. It’s K-Rod time!
Bottom 9: Braun gets a leadoff single. Fielder lines out. Hart grounds out. Casey McGehee grounds out to short. Rodriguez gets the save; Pelfrey gets the win and the Mets end their five-game losing streak. It was their second 1-0 win over the Brewers this season.
The Marlins beat the Nationals earlier today, so the Mets don’t gain any ground on them. They are in a win-win situation when the Phillies play the Braves tonight. If the Phillies lose, the Mets move one game closer. If the Braves lose, the Mets gain a two-game margin on them.
The Mets next face the Pirates in Pittsburgh at 12:05 p.m. Thursday in a makeup game before heading to Philadelphia for a very important weekend series. Tim Redding takes the mound tomorrow.

nice win today
good move by jerry to have the mets “ride the bus” together!
