Bet you’re glad Manny Ramirez isn’t a Met now.
In case you’ve been living under a rock, the Los Angeles Dodgers outfielder, who had been on an offensive tear as of late, has been suspended 50 games after tests showed he used a performance-enhancing drug. Ramirez has said his doctor prescribed him the drug for a “personal health issue.”
Do you believe his explanation? Whether he’s telling the truth or not, the drug is not allowed, hence the suspension. It’s a scandal the Mets couldn’t have afforded, so I, for one, am glad they didn’t sign Ramirez. He’s more trouble than he’s worth.
