ESPN.com is reporting that there might be some interest by the Los Angeles (hence the Hollywood reference with a tip of the hat to The Fan’s Steve Somers) Dodgers to look into former Mets pitcher Pedro Martinez. Apparently both Dodgers GM Ned Colletti and Manager Joe Torre are open to the idea, which would bring Martinez back to the team he started with.
Coming off an impressive six-inning, shut-out performance in the World Baseball Classic game for the Dominican Republic, Martinez’s stock might have risen a little. With the Mets showing no interest in bringing him back, he could fill the spot for a fifth starter for the Dodgers, who haven’t been impressed with their candidates.
Do you think Pedro would be a good fit in L.A.?
