Citi Field is proving to be a hot ticket.
Tickets for the Mets’ April 3-4 exhibition games against the Boston Red Sox at Citi Field sold out this morning in 45 minutes.
The Mets Foundation will donate the net proceeds from ticket sales from these games to the Police Athletic League and other area charities.
Single Game tickets to Opening Day at Citi Field Monday, April 13 against the San Diego Padres were available to the general public through an online random drawing that generated more than 800,000 registrations. Limited inventory for Opening Day remains available in Mets season tickets.
Yesterday, the Mets announced the launch of a series of tours of Citi Field for fans interested in purchasing Season Tickets at the Mets’ new world-class ballpark. Fans can register at Mets.com, LosMets.com or call the Mets Ticket Office at 718-507-TIXX to reserve a place on one of the tours. Space is limited and will be allocated on a first-come, first-served basis.
Single game tickets for April and May regular season home games will go on sale March 15 at 10 a.m. exclusively online at Mets.com, LosMets.com, and by phone at (718) 507-TIXX. There will be no in-person sale at Citi Field.
Earlier this week, tickets for the March 29 Citi Field Big East college baseball game between St. John’s University and Georgetown University sold out in 45 minutes.
