Pedro may not be done yet

November
17

Pedro Martinez’s agent, Fern Cuza, told SI.com, “He’s definitely coming back.”

Interesting. If this is true, don’t expect the Mets to turn their backs on Pedro, the key figure in Omar Minaya’s rehaul.

Decide for yourself: Do you want Martinez back or not? Obviously it would be at a reduced rate.

Here’s the complete post with Cuza’s thoughts.

Pedros not coming back to the Mets. They already fired his friend, Guy Conti. Thats the writing on the wall. I am afraid he might really be healthy next year, though so I hope he doesnt sign in the division.

It’s time to move on. Pedro had a great career, and he was great for the Mets in 2005.

Injuries and age kept him from performing up to his own level of expectations for the past three years—he should take the hint and retire.

Since he won’t, let him be someone else’s problem. Preferably someone in the American League—just in case he actually does have something left.

Ray Sadecki you never told me where my nemesis Delcos went. These amateurs don’t even respond. And apparently by there other post this rag won’t even give them money to take pictures. They have to steal them froma a radio station

  4. Ray Sadecki

Metsfan, I would tell you where Delcos is now, but I wont because i like Delcos.

  5. METSFAN

Ray Sadecki: I know where he is. i just wanted to see if you were a man or not. You obvious are not.

    Delcos is now at: http://www.newyorkmetsreport.com/

I saw he got kicked out of another site. Keep following him. Notice the pattern. Delcos runs a site into the ground. Delcos gets the boot. Delcos whines that he was not allowed to say good bye Losers like Ray Sadecki follow him to the next site.
These guys may not be the best here, but at least they are open to anyvbody’s opinion. So I give them credit for that and I will not yell at them any more.
They are good guys. Its not their fault that the low life rag they work for will not let them be full time beat writers.

It looks like all Minaya will do is sit on his hands until it’s time to head for Port St. Lucie.

  7. Mike C.

Of course I don’t want Pedro back.

He’s done and if you’re gonna have a guy suck in your rotation, have it be a young guy developing into something.

If you’re stuck with someone terrible, for God’s sake, get someone terrible with upside in there.
