The team has yet to confirm that Jerry Manuel has agreed to terms, but SI.com says it has confirmed it.
The negotiations were supposedly snagged when the Mets just offered two years at first. But Omar Minaya had said on Thursday that the process was focused only on Manuel and he hoped to get a deal done. So there will be no Bobby V sequel. And now we’ll see if Manuel tries to bring in any coaches of his choice. The current coaches’ contracts are set to expire.
