Changes needed

I will be at Shea later today to see if any players come to collect their belongings and share their thoughts.
So what changes would you like to see made? Seven new relievers? Break up the core group that hasn’t been able to do it in two straight Septembers, plus Game 7 in 2006? What do you think?

Yes….and a little more!
Sadly most of this team is under contract for 2009.
It would be difficult to not bring Delgado back, but is he really worth the money and years at his age?
Ollie should be a goner. He isnt worth what he will be asking for.
We need a LF, 2 SP and a couple of relievers.
I ask all the geniuses, which of the 25 year old all stars should we get rid of ?? Break up the core for the sake of a shakeup does not make sense to me. Take solace that the team found a durable number 3 starter in Pelfrey and some solid (young) back up pieces in Murphy, Evans, Stokes. There are also some young guys to look forward to next year in Niese and Parnell. Not to mention a manager that they all respect and for “want” to play hard for. They need to make some real decisions but they found out the hard way who they can’t count on as well (Pedro, Castillo, El-Duke, Showenwise, Heilman, Anderson, Muniz). Re-tool don’t re-build and use some of the chips you have (Kunz, Heilman, Carp, Smith, Church, Castro ) to do so. If you have to spend on a free agent then do that. I trust Omar learned his lesson and will get younger as well as find some scrap heap guys that will also help.
They really need a new 2nd baseman. I know it won’t necessarily put them over the top, but Castillo is done, and I don’t care if they have to eat his contract. Is Orlando Hudson available this offseason? We need to find some guys with grit and guys who can contribute on and off the field that weren’t a part of the last 3 disasters.
Omar for 4 more years. Are you for or against. I think he is NOT the right man for the job. Your thoughts
No more Minaya. He’s the culprit. The farm system is stripped and all he does is put bandaids on problems.
