ESPN: Minaya gets four-year extension

ESPN’s Buster Olney is reporting the Mets have given GM Omar Minaya a four-year contract extension. The Mets have not announced the deal, but I’ll let you know when they do.

Here’s Buster’s story.

UPDATE, 8:09 p.m.: The Mets wouldn’t confirm the extension. Here’s what I was told by a team spokesman: “The matter will be addressed at the end of the season.”
