Good morning. Today’s must reading in The Journal News or on LoHud.com includes the account of the Mets’ latest stumble, last night’s 7-2 loss in D.C., and a Mets notebook with John Maine’s thoughts on becoming closer, an update on Damion Easley’s status and an item on Jorge Posada and Pedro Martinez revisiting a Yankees-Red Sox incident from five years ago.
Tonight it’s Mike Pelfrey vs. Odalis Perez at 7:10. The Mets will try to hold on to their paper-thin half-game lead.
It’s amazing the struggles the Mets have with the Nationals. Washington beat them five out of six during the collapse last September and the Mets really had to work in order to win 10-8 and 13-10 last week at Shea. And now you have last night’s debacle, including one hit in the first seven innings against John Lannan. So we’ll see if they can bounce back from this latest three-of-four skid. Thirteen games to play.
Be back later this afternoon from Nationals Park with the lineups.

Thanks for the link. I was wondering where John Delcos’ new site was.
I really don’t understand why more people don’t frequent BOTH sites. I think this site is a LOT more informative now that Delcos is gone. For what it’s worth, Josh, I really like your reports. I will continue to keep you on my feeds list and read your stuff every day, but I have got to head over to this new site, because I like the full chat rooms.
Thanks,
DT
