UPDATE, 11:30 a.m.: Two quick notes — Damion Easley strained his right quad last night when he grounded into a double play. Jerry Manuel said it could be the type of injury that requires more than one day off to recover from. The Mets face two lefties in Washington but Easley may not be ready to face them. … Manuel said he hasn’t decided on a starter for Wednesday, but he conceded it’ll be either Brandon Knight or Nelson Figueroa.
UPDATE, 11:45 a.m.: Damion Easley came in 10 minutes ago carrying a envelope with his results from an MRI this morning. Easley doesn’t know what they say, just that he is sore.
He initially felt soreness at the outset of the homestand. He had treatment, but aggrevated the quad on the double play ball yesterday.
In an admission that may scare fans, Easley said: “I felt a little pop when I was just about to first base.”
Hopefully we will have a further update on Easley’s quad after the game.

I sure wish Murphy could play second base. How nice would it be to have tatis batting #7 instead of Catillo
