The Mets are going to be holding a special going-out-of-business sale for Shea memorabilia. The team and the MeiGray Group are partnering to offer more than 2,000 artifacts from the soon-to-be demolished stadium.
Fans can go on a behind-the-scenes tour and pick out what they want. Besides the two foul poles, lockers and turnstiles, panels from the outfield wall, section signs and pictures and banners will be among the other items available.
Anyone interested needs to sign up to be a “Shea Premiere Club.†That comes by calling 888-463-4472 starting tomorrow at 10 a.m. The deadline to call is Tuesday at 4 p.m.
Some of the items will be on display during the Atlanta series—tomorrow on the field-level concourse on the first-base side, Saturday on the same concourse behind home plate and Sunday in section nine of the loge-level concourse.
There are still seats available at $869 a pair.
