The Mets began a three-game showdown in Milwaukee with a 4-2 comeback win, but Carlos Beltran was banged up in the process. Carlos Delgado was the hero again, and the ‘pen pitched three more scoreless innings, making it six in a row.
The notebook deals with positive news on the Billy Wagner front. There’s also mention of some new teammates, including a move to the bullpen for hard-throwing Bobby Parnell, and the surprising absence of Pedro Martinez.
Mets-Brewers on tap for 8:05 tonight. Still, I’ll have one or two items to share during the day.
