More than good. Josh, I very much appreciate your candid and informational response. It would be nice if the Journal would allow a spot on the blog where that information could be highlighted so that everyone would know something about the blog's moderator and you would not have to answer this question again. Thanks again for your quick and informative response.

Stillsane...Quick baseball bio...

I attended my first Mets game in Sept. of '85 at 5. Doc Gooden won it for win No. 20, and I've followed baseball ever since. I've been more than a few games since then, mostly at Shea and Yankee Stadiums and Fenway Park. I've seen two no-hitters and two one-hitters, and I had the luxury of seeing Pedro first-hand in his absolute prime because I went to college in Boston and lived less than a mile from Fenway, back when you could actually get tickets to a game. The best game I've ever seen him pitch was against Tampa. He struck out 15...and lost to the immortal Steve Traschel.

In my life (counting this trip to Citizens Bank Park) I've now been to 23 pro stadiums. Some are now deceased, like Memorial Stadium in Baltimore, Candlestick, and The Big O. All but two of I've been to as a fan, although I've been to five of them as a reporter as well (Shea, Yankee Stadium, the Trop, Fenway, and Citizens Bank).

I've covered Mets and Yankee games for the last five years, including every home Mets playoff game in 2006. One of my first games at Shea was the blackout. I remember this because I almost ran out of gas on the way home.

If I make a mistake it's usually because I'm trying to get the message to you as quickly as possible. I have a BlackBerry Pearl and it isn't easy to type blog posts on there. Occasionally I may misspell a word, particularly when the phone guesses a name (it happened yesterday with Castro/Castillo), but it's only because I'm trying to get you guys the lineup as quick as I can.

We good?

I have to ask Josh directly. I know this is your job and all, but, honestly did you follow the Mets prior to assuming responsibility for this blog? I do not envy your position coming in the way you had to. I also compliment your efforts in trying to provide information updates as quickly as possible. I just get the feeling that the Mets are not a team that you naturally follow. I respect if they are not. I was just curious since the people on this blog know very little about you.

are you people seriously this nerdy that you're on the internet making comments about some silly mistake this blogger made? Give me a break, find something else to do with your time then to nitpick on a blog. Pathetic. And on that note, LETS GO METS!
