All about the Mets

Today in The Journal News

August
23

There must always be a trailblazer. Last night that man is faithful reader Ray Sadecki, who was the first person to confuse my identity with Jake. Congrats, Ray. No hard feelings.

Jake Thomases did cover last night’s game and had the story of another stingy start from Johan Santana and the Mets.

For his notebook, Jake tells us how Ryan Church is back. Luis Castillo is next. A Peekskill student was honored by the Mets. And it appears Fernando Tatis will start tonight in RF.

I’ll be back at tonight’s game. Expect the lineup around 4 p.m. I’ll try to dig up whatever I can before then.
