-We should get some rehab news on Billy Wagner and Luis Castillo.
-Ryan Church? It’s getting tiring to say, but I have heard nothing new.
-Oliver Perez going for the club tonight. An earlier post made a good comment when he said Perez gets up for the hard teams, but lets up against the weaker teams. Washington, of course, is a weaker team. Something we should keep an eye on.
-In case you were wondering, the Mets trail the Cubs, Brewers and Cardinals in the wild-card race. It is looking like win the division or bust.

Please tell me Murphy is in the lineup. I really don’t care about pitching matchups, this kid is too good aka having too good of a start to be riding the pine.
He isn’t riding the pine! Nick Evans deserves a chance to play too!
Murphy is in the lineup, batting 6th. Unfortunately, the Argenis Reyes experiment continues with him in the 2hole. ugggh.
Evans has had a chance and he will continue to get a chance, off of the bench. He has 66 at bats with 17 hits, Murphy has 30 at bats with 14 hits. At this point of the season, you need to field your best 8 position players everygame, regardless of “chances.”
Why did you even ask the question for anyway Bob? The guy pitching for the Nats is a righty so there was no way Murphy wasn’t going to be in. Again it is a lefty/righty platoon with Murphy and Evans. Don’t make me remind you again!!!! :-)
PS..Evans is hitting .342 against righties..shhhh..
OOPS!!! AGAINST LEFTIES!!!!! Shhhh…. LOL
