-Ryan Church is taking part in baseball activities with Single-A Port St. Lucie. The Mets don’t have a date when he will start playing in rehab games. Church is on the disabled list with post-concussion syndrome.
-Manager Jerry Manuel is leaning toward using Eddie Kunz in the closer role tonight.
-Luis Castillo, who left a rehab assignment to take care of a personal matter, is still away from the team.

We should lean on the rookie. He will pitch at least as good as the grizzled veterans.
I say when louie comes back give him a shot at the pen cause he hasn’t hit a ball in the past 2 weeks.
How many innings is Kunz prepared to pitch? Is he strictly the ninth like Wagner, or is he able to come in earlier?
