As if you didn’t already know, but the Mets will make a pile of money at Citi Field. The average price will be $495 for the premium seats, which is a 79 percent increase from this season. In contrast, the top price at the new Yankee Stadium will be $2,500.
Said Mets VP Dave Howard: “We have different customer bases and fan bases. We set our price where we think it was fair given all considerations of the various issues.’’

The most expensive seats at Citi Field will be the 76 Sterling Club Platinum seats
behind the plate, which include food and beverage service. Comparable seats this year at Shea Stadium go for $276.
The first two rows behind the dugouts and plate average out at $375, with the best seats set at $495. Rows three-to-six average at $225; rows seven-to-12 average at $175; and rows 13-to-31 average $150.
The Citi Field capacity will be 42,500, down from 57,365 at Shea. Currently there are 29 different ticket prices, but that will increase to 39 different prices next season.

Not going to happen for me. I’ll be here with Howie and whoever’s with him.
He wasn’t even in the dirt when the ball was thrown, he was like two feet in the grass…
After having to Stubhub my way to 4 seats for Sunday’s game vs. the Marlins and paying $20 for 2 hot dogs and a soda, I won’t be going to Jackie Robinson Stadium any time soon.
(I won’t call it by its corporate name until I get paid to mention it, too…gotta get my cut)
Annie: They’ll have quite a number of $19 seats for which the location will probably be close to where the last few rows of Mezzanine Reserved are.
start saving those pennies…for a giant screen plasma HDTV. Which begs the question: who is the ugliest Met of all time? Probably Danny Napoleon. He got mentioned in the list in “Ball Four”.
How much are the politicians paying for their seats at taxpayer funded Sub Prime Field and Hilltop Park III?
