I didn’t see any of Kunz’ debut, but the nerves should be expected, given that he is only one year and 60 minor-league innings removed from being a college kid.

Kunz needed 60 innings; Joe Smith needed 33. Give Omar his props for finding ready-to-step-in college arms in the draft.

Kunz can’t be worse than how Billy looked Saturday, however he needs to calm his nerves a bit, that air-mailed throw to first was pretty bad.

A lot of people questioned the Mets using a first round pick on a relief pitcher last year. If Kunz can step in to be a closer, Omar will be looking pretty freakin smart.

Yeah, let’s trade away all the remaining trade chips for a closer. That is the only problem on this team.

Of course, if he had made a trade for Street or Fuentes, the first time they blew a game, many of those same people would have killed Omar for making the trade in the first place.

This team has many holes that need to be filled. Other teams knew this and upped the price.

K-Rod would have been nice, however for those who aren’t sarcastic vulva swirlers, I was thinking more along the lines of a JON RAUCH who was stolen for next to nothing from the nationals.

Bob. May i ask you what exactly would you trade for such a closer?

If you looked at this site or any website detailing trade requests, all the teams with premium relievers were requiring top prospects, even beyond what the mets had, or at the best, a package that would kill the mets system more.

Sooo, you’re complaining and bitching about omar despite him not being able to fix anything? Wow…that’s just whiny and immature.

I just dont get lugo’s call up though…why not parnell at the least?
