-Ryan Church will run and throw today, but won’t take batting practice until tomorrow. How he comes out of that will determine when he begins a minor league rehab assignment. Jerry Manuel’s best guess is Church not being ready until the team returns home next week.
-Manuel said when Church returns he will keep Fernando Tatis in left and use Endy Chavez for late inning defense.
-Manuel said he wouldn’t be surprised if the Mets make a deal at the trade deadline.
-Manuel will avoid using Aaron Heilman out of the pen tonight. Heilman threw 57 pitches Saturday.

Heard that Niese went to AAA. If this is so that means he has been promoted to Washed Up Veteran™ as an official member of the Zephyrs.
