Omar talking trade

GM Omar Minaya said he’s working the phones and will make a trade if something makes sense.
That’s GM Speak for saying he has nothing right now.
He said he’s not inclined now to bring up Fernando Martinez and he’s prepared to go with what he has.
How’s that test your confidence level?

It doesn't make me the least bit comfortable. If I knew Church was certain to come back, it would make me feel a little bit better. But I understand Omar's position. He can't give up another ton of prospects for the likes of Blake or Ibanez because the farm system is bare. But on the other hand this is still an older team that is very much a "win now" team. I hope that as they get closer to the deadline, maybe a guy like Randy Winn won't cost too much.
