-Angel Pagan flew to LA for second opinion on shoulder. He’s to see Dr. Lewis Yocum.

-Moises Alou had season ending surgery on his left hamstring. He hasn’t said anything about retirement.

-Orlando Hernandez is working out with Single-A Brooklyn. The special shoe to protect the bunion on his right foot isn’t ready.

-Luis Castillio, on the DL with a strained left thigh, has begun baseball activities in Port St. Lucie.
