Brush with greatness ….

Jimmy Buffett is staying at my hotel. So, I’m living large as the second half gets off with a bang. Of course, this begs the question Parrotheads, of your favorite Buffett song or lyric.
I’ve seen him three times, twice as the warmup act for the Eagles in Cleveland. He had a broken leg, so he did the whole show sitting in a rowboat on the stage. Just terrific. A lot tougher than Moises Alou.
As far as meeting musicians go, Paul McCartney and Meatloaf are the two biggies for me. I hear Keith Richards lives nearby me in Connecticut, but I never see him in the grocery store.
Somehow, I can’t picture him at the deli counter telling the guy to slice the roast beef thin.

Favorite Jimmy Buffet song (I'm not a Parrothead)
"Changes in Latitudes, Changes in Attitudes"
PS – I live near ESPN's Chris Berman, and he is ALWAYS in the grocery store.
I went by Keith's house the other day. There was a handwritten note for someone on the front gate; in typical Keith fashion, it contained the code for entry. A friend has seen him at the vet with his sheepdog. I can only imagine him describing the pet's problems to the doctor: "Well..eh…you know, it's…"
Chris Berman definitely looks like he has been to the grocery store more than a few times.
