Six and counting. That’s the Mets’ winning streak with Colorado coming in tonight. The Rockies have played the Mets tough before because they can rake and there are no guarantees.

Even so, they are a team the Mets should beat. Maybe not sweep, but they realistically should take two of three because they have the better pitching. The Mets need to go into the break hot. Not that it will erase an erratic first half, but to give them something to build off of in the second half.
The schedule for the remainder of the month is interesting. Cincinnati is a team they should handle, but the Reds have some good pitching. Plus, they have three games with Philly at Shea and three at Florida. That’s a chance to open up some ground.
