Just want to touch on a few things from your comments of yesterday:
-Adam Dunn: What can I say, I like the guy. I wish they’d get him. He’s a guy I can see who would be energized playing for a winning team. I think it would take a lot to get him, and it would be predicated on signing him long term.
-Raul Ibanez: Not if there’s a chance for Dunn.
-Fernando Martinez: I don’t believe the Mets think he’s ready. He’s a guy who is better off getting regular at-bats in the minors than a part time at-bats in the majors. If he’s not at Triple-A, why would he go to the majors?
-Billy Wagner: He was asked a question and gave an honest answer on Oliver Perez. The Mets needed Perez to step up and nobody else was saying it. I don’t believe Wagner was throwing him under the bus.
-It’s not like Trot Nixon was here long enough to warrant any number held for him When he comes back and if Nick Evans is not here he’ll get No. 6. Odds are Evans will be the one to go back when Nixon is ready.
