What’s the concern level with Pedro?

Pedro Martinez is back, but the truth is he’s had two decent starts since his return and he’s coming off a lousy outing against the Yankees.
Martinez said he’s fine physically, but is mechanically off and might be tipping his pitches.
Truth is, the Mets let Martinez go at his own pace both in spring training and in his rehab. Mostly simulated games. Did he really get the work he needed? He says so, but what else do you expect him to say?
Martinez might be scintillating on any given night, but when that happens it is more a surprise.
Check out the new poll on Pedro.

Ask me after tonight’s game
Dude’s awesome. He’s had 6 starts, 5 since returning from the DL. He’s throwing 92mph. Topped out at 94 in his last start. He hasn’t suddenly forgotten how to pitch. He’ll be fine. Like I said in the previous thread I’m more worried that he’ll get hurt again.
Things may be turning around here. 41-42 is not horrible and this team is getting some of its best players back. Its even more important for this team because you’re replacing some truly horrible bench performances. Even if Pagan came back and took all of Marlons PAs that would be a big upgrade. But we’re doing better than that. We’ve got Church back and soon Alou too (fingers crossed).
read on the times how he and beltran were watching film. apparently he is tipping his pitches by opening the glove when he throws a changeup.
