-Moises Alou’s rehab game in Florida was rained out and will delay his return to the Mets. Alou traveled to Double-A Binghamton Wednesday. Manager Jerry Manuel is now saying returning Monday in Philadelphia is the best-cast scenario.

-Duaner Sanchez has a bruised left knee after being hit by a Yadier Molina line drive Tuesday. He said he could pitch if needed, but also said he had trouble bearing weight on the leg. He’s sitting.

-The Mets could option out a pitcher tomorrow (Tony Armas or Carlos Muniz) and bring up a position player.

-Manuel said he anticipates resting Carlos Beltran tomorrow.
