I like endy. He is the best OF we have. the problem is his bat.

the problem with our OF the past month or so is that they trot out guys who not only cannot hit, but cant field either.

Nah, he didn't slip up -- it was Petraglia borrowing his computer and underwear again.

i dont understand how that play at LA where pagan looked fine after the catch could cause season ending surgery. I swear some baseball players are made of glass

Ray explained that to _you_? Geez, I thought he was talking to the Guv. Or maybe it was Mel. I'm beginning to think I like Mel better than Petraglia. But I'm not sure, since Petraglia gets to borrow your computer, which is akin to letting him borrow your underwear. He must be a real charmer.

You see they brought in Phillips to scare Delgado, that's what Ray explained to me, so they put Tatis in for defense to scare Phillips. And they put Phillips in left to scare Alou or Chavez or whatever. What it really shows is that the entire Met organization is totally screwed up.

why did they bring in a guy who has an all glove no bat reputation in Andy phillips to use Tatis and call Phillips a RH outfielder

Is Tatis that good defensively at first base or is Delgado just that bad?
I think it's the latter. And that sucks.

By the way the NL avg runs/9 is 4.65. I said it was 5.7 something. I was actually looking at the total number of runs scored in the NL so far this season, 5,832. I thought the comma was a decimal and the total was per game. That makes a lot more sense. The Mets have 378 scored and 379 allowed. That's 4.6667/g scored and 4.68/g allowed. Both are slightly above league average. That shows that the pitching and hitting have been about equal for the Mets this year. Actually since Shea is a park that favors pitchers the hitting has been better than the pitching.

I was thinking the same thing Dave. Marlon and Endy have been awful bench players so far this year. We need some decent production off the bench. It would be nice to get some .670 OPS or better production off the bench.
