The last weekend of interleague play for another year.
Most people are numb to it and don’t care. The only passion I have for it is negative. Nothing new there.
The Mets like to talk about turning points and springboards, but always seem to fall back.
I really don’t care about what they do this weekend. What matters is next weekend in Philly.

I'm not quite as bored as you are about the subway series, but right now I'm watching the US Open on the computer and hoping that my Yale golfing buddy – Heather Daly-Donofrio – makes the cut today. Tonight I do want to see Pedro – it's been over a year for me.
Interesting reply from your editor, Mr. Freeman. He passed on my comments and his to several LoHud and a Gannett email address. I'll follow up if necessary.
Willie has already been replaced in the All Star Game -
well. i care.
if they sweep their record gets better.
however,
it would be more meaningful playing in the division
I only care because obviously if they win their record gets better but next weekend is going to be huge.
Baseball games. That's what these games are. Baseball games that count. Therefore I care. The novelty has worn off though.
