Yet another test

We’ve seen the Mets appear to have turned the corner before only to run smack into a wall.
A lot of times they played down to the competition. Seattle isn’t among the elite, so we’ll see. But, I expect Johan Santana to do well.

JD- If Castillo goes on the DL (and please please please just let them make this move, the guys looks horrible out there)...who would come up? I know Anderson Hernandez is on the 40man, but he’s batting just .188 on the year down there and last time they brought up an IF, Nunez got the nod over him. He’s batting just .190 down there, though…any chance of seeing Argenis Reyes called up? hitting a very weak .285, but liked what I saw in spring training from him (hit around.400 I believe). Just DFA Hernandez already…theres NO WAY some time plucks him up to put him on their 40 man.
Unfortunately we see King Felix and Bedard. We need the bats to keep it going
Bedard is hurt and won’t pitch in this series. Actually, we see King Felix, Miguel Batista and RA Dickey…so if that doesnt wake up the bats, nothing will.
We have Santana against Felix, so no harm in winning a 1-0 guy tonight. Then the office can show up Tuesday and Wednesday. :)
JD – WOW, U EXPECT JOHAN TO DO WELL TONIGHT? JEEZE I WOULD THINK THE OITCHER WITH THE MOST WINS/INNINGS/KS/MOST INNINGS PAST FEW YEARS WOULD BE EXPECTED TO DO HORRIBLE SO THANK YOU JD FOR THAT GREAT INFORMATION!
Bob Yes you are right about King Felix but please no need to yell.
this is exactly the type of series the mets are capable of dropping 2 of 3. like JD said, when they turn the corner, they hit a wall. They have to break through this wall and show everyone – at home – they’re ready to play the stretch.
