The last time the Mets left Denver they headed home into a storm. A sense of peace this time.
Mike Pelfrey pitching to give the Mets a winning road trip.

Notebook: Ryan Church to take BP tomorrow at Shea. … Luis Castillo day-to-day with strained left thigh. … Jerry Manuel said he MUST plan not to have Moises Alou again this season. … Brian Schneider is day-to-day with a bruised left pinkie. He said he hopes to play tomorrow.

Leadoff triples are a good way to start a game. Of course, that was a crappy at-bat by Marlon.-JD
Times like this I wish we had Pagan still to throw in… he’d make a pretty decent number 2 hitter.
Tatis needs his O2.
Thank you, Jeff Baker.
Did you hear Gary Cohen? ‘What is Jeff Baker doing? Yesterday he was picked off….’ like he’s offended by a a couple of baserunning mistakes. The guy is on the other team too.

Why watching the Mets is like watching “24”
Jon: Speaking of which, when is ``24’’ going back on?-JD
Just a note: The Rockies boast 17 different varieties of hot dogs here.-JD
JD: January ‘09. They’re supposed to show a two-hour teaser in November, branching us from last season to this season.
And John Voight is the main villain this year if you missed that news.
Easley makes you wish for Castillo. another guy who’s skills are gone but has a home in Minaya-ville.
It’s supposed to air Nov. 23.

Pelfrey has a ton of pitches, but keeps working himself out of jams…somehow.
Is Ron Darling suggesting that the media might misrepresent the situation to create a more interesting story? I’m shocked. ... Shocked.
JD, do you have a rebuttal to Taylor? lol
Holy Shmoly. That ball was deeeeeee-stroyed.
Isn’t Darling part of the media?-JD
Ding ding ding!! Exactly what I was thinking, JD.
Jon: I did. Thanks.-JD
24 comes back in January. The November 23 episode is a movie that will bridge last season and next season.
Wow, you guys know a lot about 24… I don’t think I’ve ever seen an episode. Guess I’m missing out.
Jeff: Pretty sure I said that already. lol
Yes, you did.
Hahah I’m just playing around. No hard feelings. :p
Let’s Go Mets!
Come on Pelf…get out of this one…
How about Mr. Pelfrey today?
So far, so good.
Phils lose, swept by Angels, we need this game to pick up some ground…
Thank you, LAAoA!
They had a ridiculous hot streak, but they look like they are coming back down to earth as of late.
Alright, Smith. Let’s go.
Oh boy…
It’s good to see the Mets take two out of three heading home where the Mets should take at least another two out of three and are now only 3 1/2 games out of first. Things are looking up. By the way, I miss 24, can’t wait until it starts up again.
Now we get to see if they’ll play down to their competition with Seattle, as they would’ve under Willie, or if things actually have changed a little for the better…
