Jerry Manuel on the inconsistent Oliver Perez: “I’ll be on the first step of the dugout when he warms up.’’
Manuel said Coin Flip would represent a good test for new pitching coach Dan Warthen and he’s inclined to give him a long leash.

So Warthen is getting a long leash? He looks too out of shape to need any leash.
The Hardwood Floor could only do so much with Coin Flip. Now it’s time to see what Tuscany Tile can do.
