Johan Santana has been pretty consistent in picking up the Mets after a loss, and that’s what they need tonight. Randy Wolf for the Padres, and he’s been pretty good vs. Mets (9-5, 3.44 ERA lifetime). He’s beaten them in his last three starts.

Carlos Delgado is a .130 lifetime hitter vs. Wolf, so that explains why he’s sitting. David Wright is a .133 lifetime hitter vs. Wolf, so if they were going to give him a night, tonight would have been a good pick. Carlos Beltran (.318) and Luis Castillo (.425) have hit him well.

Tom g, I thought when heilman came in it was game over. The mets have won thier share of blowouts and you are nowhere to be seen. At least sloppy and his alter egos provide some humor to this board, but as they used to say back in the ‘60s you are a drag, man.
tom I love your passion for every play. Don’t let anyone make you act differently. I wish the players had as much as you do.
Ray Sadecki,
It’s not me man, it’s the mets that is the drag, man. Ray Sadecki, you got it all wrong. Don’t take your frustrations out on me because the mets lose, that’s the drag, man.
The San Diego Announcer:
“Delgado’s an animal and that’s a huge out”
Obviously was scouting tape circa 2003.
Sadecki: I don’t understand your assult on tom. He didn’t criticize any of your posts. He merely is frustrated. Who shouldn’t be with this club. Yesterday a poster blasted Pelfrey for giving up one run to the Pads. Well, that makes Santana twice as bad as Pelfrey.
Ray Sadecki,
oh well, can’t win them all. We will get them tomorrow with Oliver Perez on the mound. The mets are the best team in the national league east. How is that Ray Sadecki? I have to say that is pretty humorous.
TheGuvlovestheMets,
thank you for having my back. I guess some people just don’t understand.
Tom,
yes, it is you. No team wins all of their games, Now they are .500 again. Is that a good thing? no, but its not the end of the world either. Is freakin Santana supposed to walk on water because he makes millions? Did you see him get hit in the shoulder on the attempeted bunt before he gave up a run? Get a grip, man.
Guv,
So the poster Who said Pelfry sucked for giving up one run was right? Thats just great. Now Santana is twice as bad because he gave up 2 runs. That is pretty funny, if you ask me.
Ray Sadecki,
sorry man, it sounds to me that you need to get a grip. Because santana got hit in the shoulder that is why he gave up the two runs. Whatever Ray Sadecki, if you don’t like my post, there is nobody with a gun to your head threating you to read them. If it bothers you so much don’t read my post.

See, you said it, I do bring humor to this blog and you said I didn’t bring anything to this blog.
Yes, Tom but we are laughing at you, not with you.
Ray Sadecki,
dude, it’s not “we”, it’s you and now you are laughing at me, ok, if that makes you feel better, enjoy.
Thats because the only ones left here are you, me gov, and my next door neighbor who brings the beer. My friend Ralphie thinks you’re a reg you lah RIOT!!!!
Can’t blame Santana for this one; it’s hard to win when your offense only scores 1 run…
I don’t know why I continue to read these Mets blogs; yes, a lot of the criticisms are valid, but it just depresses the crap out of me (and I suppose others) to read all this negativity day in and day out…
Ray Sadecki,
well, it was fun chatting with you and you and Ralphie drinking beer would explain your aggression towards me, drink up with your pal ralphie. It’s just you and ralphie now, have fun with Ralphie, It was fun, I’m out of here, later.
What the hell are you people talking about?
The biggest problem with this team has been-
and continues to be-their offense. As much as like my team and some of the players currently on it, if our starting lineup continues to look like it has the last two days, we will have to settle for 4th place in the division. We simply cannot contend with tatis, easley, chavez, schneider and castillo as starters. I don’t think it’s a lack of effort necessarily, either. They’re decent players who are trying to hold their own but simply cannot.Granted, there probably isn’t a whole lot the front office can do right now, but I hope Omar’s working on something. I’d seriously consider trading perez, a reliever and a minor leaguer with some upside for a decent 1B-OF. Without Church in the lineup, there is not a single player who’s hitting .300 on this team!
