Davis is a left-handed hitter and thrower who is said to have great power potential.He’s also the son of Ron Davis, a relief pitcher, most notably for the Yankees and Twins.
Ron Davis went 14-2 with nine saves for the Yankees in 1979.
With their second first-round pick, No. 22 overall, the Mets took Reese Havens, a left-handed hitting shortstop from the University of South Carolina.
