Ryan Church, who sustained a mild concussion trying to break up a double play Tuesday night, won’t play tonight.
“Tomorrow or the next day,” Church said. “I feel great. I feel a lot better than I thought.”
Church said he felt much worse following his concussion in spring training.
Endy Chavez will replace Church in the line-up tonight against the Braves.

If Church is back for the next series, that would be a great break for the Mets. If players were diagnosed by the look of the event that caused the injury, he'd be on a 15-day vacation, at least.
That said, you really gotta love the way he plays. Maybe a little more cautious – get DOWN next time! – but the Mets could use a little more Church-like hustle.
Honestly, why is Delgado even playing? I like the Tatis idea, or maybe Church at 1st when he comes back. You have to stop putting him out there.
Its funny, I spent a while looking at the team stats vs the rest of the MLB and I couldnt figure out why the offense struggles so much. They are in the middle of the pack in most offensive stats. Darling hit it on the head last night when discussing the same question and its because the mets have padded the stats in certain games. So in 43 games, they average 4.81 runs a game. Problem with the 207 runs scored so far this year is that 99 of them came in 11 games. If you take those outliers out they have only averaged 3.37runs in the other games. Now I'm sure if you did that exercise for any other team the numbers would also drop significantly, but my bet is that ours drops the most or close to it.
