-Willie Randolph said he chose Moises Alou to be the DH when the outfielder told him that “he felt cranky.’’ Randolph wouldn’t say what body part was aching.
-Pedro Martinez will throw in a extended spring training game against St. Louis tomorrow. Ninety pitches is the target.
-Billy Wagner said he could throw more than an inning tonight, but didn’t think Randolph would go in that direction.
-The rotation for Atlanta: John Maine and Claudio Vargas on Tuesday; Mike Pelfrey on Wednesday and Johan Santana on Thursday.

What are the plans for the Saturday game at this point? Assuming, of course, no rain-out before then or one of the Tuesday pitchers not going very long in one game of the doubleheader, who would be next in line from AAA?
